Varifocal motor zoom camera with excellent light sensitivity

With the ExCam miniTube IP, we are expanding our range to include a very compact explosion-proof varifocal camera with a motorized lens. The ExCam miniTube IP has a 1/2.8'' CMOS sensor and the resulting excellent image quality, very high sensitivity and high resolution. The explosion-proof camera can operate with a minimum light intensity of 0.0008 lux, resulting in a significant improvement in image quality under limited lighting conditions. The camera achieves a high resolution of 1080p (1920x1080) at 30fps.

Explosion-proof varifocal motor zoom camera with ATEX, IECEx and more approvals

The ExCam series is certified under both the European (ATEX) and international directives ( IECEx ). The explosion-proof housing is approved for ATEX Group II for zones 1, 2 as well as 21 and 22 including explosion groups IIC / IIIC. It now also has a number of other approvals, such as INMETRO, PESO, MASC, UKEX and EAC-Ex.

When developing the ExCam series, great importance was placed on safety as well as mechanical precision and high-quality stainless steel. In addition, a modular structure was at the forefront of development.

With regard to the technical parameters, we have pushed the limits of what is possible: In areas such as media resistance and ambient temperature, we set standards with the ExCam series.

Small device – great functionality – maximum durability

The ExCam miniTube IP is an extremely compact camera. It is housed in a small, extremely robust stainless steel housing and is perfect for use in the most demanding environments under the harshest conditions in the world. The Ex-d housing of the Full HD camera is IP66/68 compliant and, thanks to the high-quality materials, resistant to a wide range of media! The ExCam miniTube IP can be used at ambient temperatures between -30°C and +50°C.

Quick installation and wiring

Connection and assembly are incredibly easy. Thanks to Power over Ethernet ( PoE ), data and power supply can be carried in one cable. This means that only a PoE switch or a PoE midspan is required for the connection in the safe area. The camera is powered via Power over Ethernet ( PoE according to IEEE 802.3af) via the network, eliminating the need for costly installation of a separate power supply line.

WDR for perfect Pictures also at bad Lighting conditions – automatic Image optimization

WDR equals Differences in brightness in one scene out of. The DOL-WDR function of the ExCam miniTube IP optimizes the quality of each individual video image under difficult lighting conditions through a triple scan. The BLC backlight compensation compensates for bright and dark areas of the image, while the HLC function compensates for strong light and darkens areas of the image that are too bright. This is how the FullHD delivers Power zoom camera best picture quality at day and night.

Day/night functionality

The ExCam miniTube IP is equipped with a day/night function, which provides optimum sensitivity in both day and night shooting applications. As the scene illumination darkens, the infrared filter is automatically removed. The camera then switches to B&W mode enabling it to operate under a minimum illumination of 0,0008 lx.This makes the camera particularly suitable for use in outdoor or indoor areas with weak lighting. When the brightness falls below a certain level, the camera automatically switches to night mode to produce high-quality black and white images using near-infrared light. Near-infrared light, which lies between 780 and around 1000 nanometers, cannot be perceived by the human eye or can only be perceived to a limited extent . The ExCam image sensors miniTube IP can detect and use this light. The infrared cut filter can be swiveled automatically (ICR). A new generation of high power SMD LEDs on board the ExCam ensures improved night image quality miniTube IP. Homogeneous illumination of the surveillance area is achieved. This means you get very meaningful video images even at night.

Powerful analytics features

The ExCam miniTube IP has advanced analytics features such as privacy masking, vertical view, motion detection and tampering. The ExCam supports privacy zone masking miniTube IP operator in compliance with the EU GDPR. Areas that are not directly relevant to the purpose of video surveillance become invisible using this function . Vertical View is a function that was developed for optimal use of the sensor capacity for video streams in portrait format: First, the camera is rotated 90° around its own axis during installation so that it generates a portrait-format video image. This is now rotated back by 90 degrees using Vertical View so that the stream is displayed on the monitor with the correct orientation.

Easy system integration – team player thanks to ONVIF

The ExCam miniTube IP supports the ONVIF profiles S and T. This ensures compatibility with ONVIF-compliant IP devices from other manufacturers. For installers and operators, this means a high degree of scope for tailor-made, cross-manufacturer video security solutions.
