On-site switching of an Ex-d luminaire

Do you operate a system in a hazardous area?
Are your explosion-protected cameras installed in low-light environments and require additional illumination for perfect images? Then combine the cameras with the liteServer, the flameproof encapsulated luminaire from SAMCON. The liteServer Ex.mini offers several switching options via external and internal triggers. If you need on-site switching, take a look at our
mag.ON® magnetic circuit.

The problem:
Application example 1: The customer wants to be able to switch the light on and off cia the process control system (PCS). On-site personnel should also be able to switch on the liteServer when lighting is required.

Application example 2: The customer operates temperature-critical plate dryers. Maintenance runs are carried out every two hours, during which the liteServer is to serve as illumination. The on-site personnel should be able to switch on the liteServer at the plate dryer. Due to the temperature sensitivity of the process, the liteServer should light up as little as possible.

The solution:
The local switching is activated by a magnet. mag.ON® , the practical pulse-controlled switching of the SAMCON light: the more pulses, the longer the light shines.

The switch-on time of the light is determined by magnetic pulses. The magnet must be held against the magnet-sensitive area for this.

One magnetic pulse: touch once briefly and the lightServer remains switched on for 1 minute.
Two magnetic pulses: touch twice briefly and the lightServer remains switched on for 3 minutes.
Three magnetic pulses: touch briefly three times and the lightServer remains switched on for 10 minutes.

A long touch switches the light off.

Operation via mag.ON®
