The cool.Jacket2.0 is an active cooling system for our cameras that works on the heat exchanger principle and is mounted on the respective camera housing. To enable the cool.Jacket2.0 to effectively transfer the temperature of the housing to the coolant, it has meander-shaped through-holes, allowing the active cooling system of the cool.Jacket to cool the camera housing down to approx. 35°C at high ambient temperatures, e.g. 90°C, thus enabling the camera electronics to operate at low temperatures.
The cool.Jacket2.0 was developed as an accessory component for our ExCam series.
Key advantages at a glance:
Cost optimization: Fewer components
Design changes: Modified meander guide, thicker cooling jacket up to +120°C
Simplified connection principle: Connection of hoses via quick coupling
Simpler production: Modular design, replacement of the seal
The cool.Jacket2.0 must be connected to a cooling system. The cooling medium flows through the heat sink and the heat exchange principle keeps the interior temperature below the maximum value. This results in an extension of the functional temperature range. The flow of the cooling medium can be regulated automatically or, if necessary, controlled manually.
