Advanced dome camera with outstanding image quality

The ExCam IPQ3628 is a sophisticated dome camera with a resolution of 8 MP, a 4K video stream. It offers UltraHD resolution (3840 x 2160, 8 MP@30fps) and a 1/1.2" sensor.

Lightfinder and Forensic WDR for perfect images even in poor lighting conditions

Lightfinder ensures sharp images with more realistic and saturated colors even of moving objects. Forensic WDR compensates for differences in brightness in a scene. The 4K UltraHD surveillance camera delivers the best image quality day and night.

Day/night functionality

The ExCam IPQ3628 is equipped with a day/night function. This makes them particularly suitable for use in outdoor or indoor areas with weak lighting. When the brightness falls below a certain level, the camera automatically switches to night mode to produce high-quality black and white images using near-infrared light. Near-infrared light, which lies between 780 and around 1000 nanometers, cannot be perceived by the human eye or can only be perceived to a limited extent. The image sensors of the ExCam IPQ3628 can detect and use this light. The infrared blocking filter can be swiveled automatically.

Easy installation, configuration and integration

Thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE), data and power supply can be carried in one cable. This means that only a PoE switch or a PoE midspan is required for the connection in the safe area. The camera is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE according to IEEE 802.3af) via the network, eliminating the need for costly installation of a separate power supply line.

Video Management System

Thanks to H.264/H.265 Zipstream technology, bandwidth and storage space requirements are low and so are the costs of managing HD images and videos.

Powerful analysis functions based on deep learning

The ExCam IPQ3628 has a deep learning processing unit and therefore also improved processing functions. This means you can collect and evaluate even more data than before - at the edge. It also provides valuable metadata for fast, easy and efficient forensic searches. This is the basis for advanced analysis functions such as motion detection, AXIS Object Analytics (detecting and classifying moving objects), AXIS Live Privacy Shield, ...

Media resistance and seals

Thanks to its high-quality materials, the ExCam series is resistant to a wide range of media! 
The specially designed optical dome is made of a plastic that is not only resistant to low temperatures, but also offers superior optical properties such as very low distortion, improved UV and scratch resistance and is hydrophobic. Water and dirt simply roll off the surface. The protection level is IP66/68.

The limit values ​​for the permissible ambient temperatures are -50°C and +50°C.

Explosion proof camera with UltraHD resolution in a compact dome camera housing

With a length of only 236 mm and a diameter of 216 mm, the ExCam IPQ3628 is a camera in a small dome housing. Thanks to its thinner walls, the newly developed protective housing is perfect for wide-angle applications such as this remote PTRZ camera. The dome camera also looks through our newly developed plastic dome with optimized optical properties.
