The housing
The T04 ExConnection Rail series is an ex-d housing for use in hazardous areas, which is suitable for the installation of high-performance PoE switches. The ExConnection Rail series has been developed to connect our explosion-proof network cameras or other network participants. The ExConnection Rail series is approved according to Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX), IECEx and EAC-Ex.
Connection in demanding environments
The centrepiece of the ExConnection Rail 4-Port POE++ is a PoE Gigabit switch with 4 ports. This robust switch, built into the extremely robust housing, is perfect for demanding environments. Shocks and vibrations are not a problem, nor are temperatures from -40°C to +50°C. For this reason, the ExConnection Rail 4-Port POE++ is ideal for demanding installations, such as next to freeways or in tunnels.
Included hardware
The Ex-d-rated housing is made from copper-free, seawater-resistant aluminum and ready for wall mounting.
In addition to the PoE switch, the ExConnection Rail 4-Port POE++ includes a primary power supply.
Get an overview of all devices in the system
Information on the connected camera systems is available via the graphical user interface. All connected devices can be easily managed, cameras can be restarted, network traffic can be monitored and cabling can be checked. The flange is designed with a sight glass pane for simple visual check of the status LEDs.
Installation and commissioning
The switch uses the same intuitive management interface as AXIS T85 PoE Network Switch Series. The ExConnection Rails are supplied with complete technical documentation, circuit diagrams, user manuals and preinstalled camera drivers. The installation and commissioning of the Connection Rail can be reduced to elementary, simple steps: Establish the power supply – connect the network – connect the cameras. And you‘re done!
